Mayson Brauer, MS

MS
Outpatient Therapist

Hi, I’m Mayson!

I strive to provide a safe, supportive space where individuals can process difficult experiences, deepen self-understanding, and navigate everyday life stressors. Whatever you bring to our session, my role is to collaborate with you in working toward your therapy goals.

I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South Dakota State University in 2024. I completed my internship at Sidney Regional Medical Center in Sidney, Nebraska, and have clinical experience working as a mental health therapist in a psychiatric residential treatment facility. I also have experience working within the child welfare system. My clinical focus includes supporting individuals experiencing post-traumatic stress symptoms, depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation.

I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Humanistic, Person-Centered, and Psychodynamic theories. I have a particular interest in working with teens, young adults, and adults navigating life transitions, suicidality and self-harm, experiencing crises, and complex trauma. My goal is to support clients in improving overall quality of life and building resilience through the therapeutic process. I am trained in Brainspotting (Phases 1 and 2) as well.

Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and dogs, reading, and connecting with friends and family. I was raised in Montana and have lived in eastern South Dakota and western Nebraska.

If you feel ready to begin working on your mental health or improving your quality of life, please feel free to reach out by phone or email.
