Beyond Trauma: A Healing Journey is a 12 week long class that meets Tuesdays at 10 and runs for roughly 1.5 hours.

Starting anything new usually produces mixed feelings- often both anxiety and excitement. As you begin the Beyond Trauma: A Healing Journey for Women program, this may be your first experience in looking at trauma in your life. Or this may be a journey you've started and stopped at different periods in your life. Either way, we know that awareness and knowledge are the first steps toward change and growth.
This program is designed to help you gain insight and skills in order to better deal with any difficult and painful experiences you have had in your life. Experiences that are overwhelming can be traumatic and cause distress in the mind, the body, and the spirit. Understanding and dealing with the effects of trauma will help you understand more about yourself and help you discover how to have a healthy relationship with yourself and others. Our goal is to help you establish a sense of internal and external safety. You will learn more about this throughout your time in the program.
It's important for you to realize there is hope. Personal growth, recovery, and healing are part of a lifelong journey. This healing journey can be challenging, but it can also be filled with support from the women in your class and others in your life. Your class provides a safe place for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. You may find that many of the questions you have are similar to those of other women in the class, who are also recovering from difficult and painful life experiences.
