I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and earned my Master of Social Work Degree from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology from Chadron State College. My counseling style is direct, warm, and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
I have almost 20 years of social work experience. Throughout the years I have gained expertise in working with older adults, hospice, grief, child welfare, long-term care, acute care, individual counseling, couple’s counseling and group counseling services. I enjoy working with teens, adults, and couples, and I have been a licensed therapist in the Black Hills for the last two years.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities combining Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy and EMDR.
I am married with a blended family including two adult children, 5 bonus kids and a bonus Frenchie who has decided I’m his person. I enjoy running, yoga, cycling, hiking, and traveling, and I will spend time outdoors whenever possible.
I believe it is an honor and a privilege to be allowed to work with people in a therapeutic relationship. I am passionate about helping others to discover their strengths and learn new things about themselves while discovering how to live their best life, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to start this journey with you.
