I graduated with my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at SDSU in 2023, after completing my internship at Ensō Mental Health. My background is in business administration and substance abuse counseling. When I am not working, I love to travel, fish, garden, and explore the outdoors with my significant other and our dogs. I strongly believe in the power of relationships with animals and nature, which influences my therapeutic approach.
I am passionate about working with individuals who are looking to find freedom from the confines of anxiety, dysfunctional relationships, PTSD post traumatic stress, or a strained relationship with food and body image. I also have experience supporting others as they go through life transitions, whether it be coping with grief and loss, or figuring out how to navigate a new role as a parent or caregiver for a sick or aging relative. Our roles often change as we age, but other life circumstances can cause sudden or drastic changes in our relationships that may exceed our current ability to adapt.
If one or more of these issues are keeping you from enjoying your life or having the relationships you want, I want you to know that there is support available and reclaiming your sense of self is possible.
My approach is holistic, meaning that I will consider the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of your life in our work together. I am committed to providing a safe and judgment free space to reflect and grow through all of life’s experiences.
Ashley works with couples and individuals ages 14 and up.
